As the governor's emergency order continues to be in place, expiring on April 27, 2021, FAIA is kicking off the 20-44 Academy to assist those who would like to convert their 4-40 to a 20-44 Resident Personal Lines License. Below is the definition of what types of insurance a resident personal lines agent can perform.
A "PERSONAL LINES AGENT" is defined as a general lines agent who is limited to transacting business related to property and casualty insurance sold to individuals and families for noncommercial purposes.The 20-44 license will allow the agent to work remotely without an emergency order in place. The FAIA 20-44 Academy is web-based learning, consisting of 17 sessions to prepare each participant to sit for the state exam.
Features of the academy include the state-approved study manual, a four-week sample schedule to follow to complete the webinars, and sample tests to gauge your knowledge of the content. Each week during the academy, participants can join the instructors in office hours for a live Q&A session to answer any questions they may have. Another unique feature of the academy is the online study group. Each participant will be added to the 20-44 community page, so you can connect with your fellow students that are working on the 20-44 content as well.
All of these features, along with access to FAIA staff, will set each student up for success by preparing them to sit for the state exam.
