FAIA is celebrating National ABEN Day on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, and you are invited. The theme is Gear up Against Violence, Viruses, and Hackers.
Many of you have taken an ABEN class, whether one of FAIA's Academies, or E&O, AIAM, business auto, and work comp to name a few. As we celebrate National ABEN Day, thank you to those that have taken these courses, and we want to encourage those who have not to join us on September 14, 2021, to give it a try.
As a member of FAIA, you can register for the three classes on National ABEN Day at no cost to you or anyone in your agency. If your schedule allows, and you take all three courses, you will receive four (4) hours of CE that day.
The first course is COVID-19, Litigation and Insurance Issues. This course starts with a discussion on claims for business interruption, moves to E&O implications, and then offers what the future holds for COVID-19 and insurance.
The next class is Cybersecurity Risk and Insurance Are… This one-hour class is focused on the current state of the underlying risk of the cybersecurity world and the insurance implications for agents and their clients.
Rounding out National ABEN Day is a class titled, Recognize, Respond, Survive, Active Shooter Response Training. This two-hour course will teach agents and brokers about the appropriate shooter response and workplace violence prevention tactics not typically taught in other programs. This course will provide a guide for agents to evaluate current training practices to better serve clients’ needs.
One thing to keep in mind, because this is a national event, we have four time zones to provide this content to. For those members in the Eastern time zone, the classes will run from Noon to 4:00 p.m. For those in the Central time zone, they will run from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
